No One Wins

I have fallen prey to the world of online slots (free of course) within the Facebook outreach.  I can't help myself.  Its free, so I don't have to worry about dumping my non-existant bank account and I can play bingo with people from all over the world.  But what I have become incredibly addicted to are the comments that players leave on a games' homepage.  Each game has its own homepage where the designers of the games offer incentives to play or post new features that will be coming to the game site.  One of the games that I love to play recently set the stage for a 'new' game that they were going to be adding to the slew of mini games they offer.  All of the games are free...although there is an option for the insane to actually purchase (with real money) fake coins so you can extend your playing time.  The site began to promote a new game and all were excited as the following excerpts will show:

"Wow!  So excited!"
"we are ready for a new game!  thanks!"

However, the day the  new game was revealed, all hell broke loose.  Players lost their minds!  The brilliant minds of those that designed this particular page of slots, decided that it would be a great idea to charge real money to play.  The only way to unlock the heavily promoted new game would be to purchase a fake coin package with real moola.  This was what followed (oh, and I'm just cutting and pasting these quotes.  I am not responsible for the spelling and grammatical errors):

-"U got to be kidding, I'll not pay for anything just to play your stupid game. U will loose in the long run because U take us to be stupid. Shame on U." (one of my favorites!  'U take us to be stupid' uhhh, I wonder why!?')
-"I just went back and unliked this what a crock of crap. I get so sick of you teasing us about new stuff and then screwing us over well you can shove this where the sun don't shine" (this one holds a true place in my heart.  I'd love to say this same thing from time to time)

-"how the hell do you expect us all to play a game when you want us to pay for a game just to unlock it f**k paying for a game you might as well take it back off and put a free games on that we can play." (I held my breath as I read this one...seriously)
-"what is this bs that we have to buy coins to play a f**kin game? i'm not paying money on slots on here. if i'm going to pay money on slots. its going to be at a real casino to win real money" (I imagined the guy writing this to be wearing a wife beater and a 3 day old 5 o'clock shadow, eating chili from a can)

THIS is why I play the free slots on FB.  I am always amazed at the mentality that people truly believe that they are owed something.  Even by a free slot page on FB.  It is quite entertaining and some times I even add my 2 cents.  This was my reply:

"People!!  This is a game. A "game"....Its not real life and just to break the news to the idiot masses...NO ONE WINS! Holy crap people. AND if you are dumb enough to actually purchase one of these packages....well, you deserve the disappointment.  Please, send your cash to a charity or buy your kids new shoes! Why fork out dough to a bunch of computer geeks who can't fix simple glitches??? Hellllllooooo?"

YES!  I know.  So inappropriate to get sucked into this, but I was amazed, stunned actually that everyone was taking it so damned serious!  LOL!  It killed me.  I just HAD to comment.  Now, when I look back at the archives of the addition of the game "Double Bubble" I will see my own imprint on the world of lunacy.  Ahhh, life.
Note To Self:  Maybe its time for a new hobby.

And now I need to comment on this. But really, I wanted to comment on getting a pet for my pet.
